I went to a Mumford & Sons concert Monday night with two of my best friends and co-producers of our company, Blonde, Brunette and a Redhead Productions.
I had never been to the Palladium before, but it was a really fun venue with a great bar and crowd.
The band was amazing, and we jumped around and danced and sang. They are English, but they have a rhythm that sounds almost Irish to me. Check out this song, Little Lion Man, it is a lot of fun.
Then now you do.
Seeing an article on The SCAR Project (NSFW)- which features photographs of breast cancer survivors between the ages of 18 and 35- reminded me how important this month really is.
My mother is a breast cancer survivor. I am so thankful that her case was caught early, early enough that she was able to avoid chemotherapy and radiation. But even that word “cancer” is so terrifying to hear, and it’s never an easy thing to go through, regardless of the stage.
Because of my personal experience with this, I know that I will be getting regular mammograms when I’m older, and I’ve even cut certain things out of my life that are thought to be potential causes (i.e. red meat).
1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer, which means you or someone you know will be affected by this. But the good news is there are easy steps to reduce your breast cancer risk.
So, in honor of October, support your ladies and do something nice, like feeling them up in the shower! And my fellow Tumblr, For Your Bliss, has a great list of Pink friendly items for purchase where the proceeds go directly to Breast Cancer research.
Justin Bieber’s hair stars in a new 20-second Amazon.com book trailer for his upcoming memoir, First Step 2 Forever.
If I really indulge in the truth, this piece of ghost-written fancy will more than likely top the NYT’s best-seller list.
Inevitably I get sad about this. So I read an Amazon.com book review from “Jimmy Dean,” which is hilarious and critical in all the necessary ways that make me chuckle with spiteful glee.

But TLC has a new show called Sister Wives that follows a polygamist with three wifeys.
Just saying.
Reasons people keep photos of their past relationships on Facebook:
-It proves you are loveable
-You don’t want to be “mean” and delete them
-You’re still “friends”
-You forgot they were there
-It was an important part of your life.
My thoughts are that it’s Facebook, not your personal diary, so you should delete that mess. And when you get a new special someone, how are they going to feel when they stumble across an album called “Happy times” that is dedicated to that old relationship? Not great, that’s for sure. No one wants a visual of your past lover(s), and Facebook certainly doesn’t need to keep those memories for you.
Also, no one needs to stay friends with their ex, that is just bullshit.
