This is a regular home in Las Vegas. It’s above ground, and on a very suburban street. But underneath this normal house, there’s another house… 26 feet underground.
The home was built in the 1970s, as a safe place in case there was ever a nuclear strike.
It has two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a full kitchen, outdoor barbecue, a putting green, swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, fake trees, fake flowers, and dimmers so you can set the lighting to evening, dusk, and early morning.
It’s currently on the market for $1.7 million, and spans 5,000 square feet.
Plus, ya know, there’s that whole toilet next to the vanity novelty going on.

COOOOOOLL
There’s something to be said for going to the gym. For me, that something is the fact that I get a lot of magazine reading done while I’m trotting on whatever machine I fall onto.
Yesterday, I picked upNew York Magazine, flipped to their real estate section and began to drool uncontrollably over the following.

Let’s talk about dreams, shall we?
Everyone has secret things they do when alone in their bedroom, wearing candy cane print pajamas and shoveling in fistfuls of M&Ms.
One of my secret things involves housing lust.
As in, scouring the Internet in search of homes that I would like to have a toothbrush in one day.
Part of my secret behavior includes spending time on the housing section of Craigslist, ArchDaily, and adding images to my Pinterest board. The result being that I’ve found many homes to envy, several design elements I’d like to one day incorporate, and all of the below images.
Here’s what I would like to one day have (if I put these things on my blog it’s kind of like The Secret, right?):
Whatever the hell this house is:

Found this time-lapse video of Los Angeles at night on Archinect news with the description:
Stunning time-lapse video of Los Angeles at night that recently made it on the 2012 Vimeo Awards shortlist in the category ‘Lyrical’.
So gorgeous and I live here! Maybe you don’t and that makes me feel better than you, I dunno.
